Lake Michigan Baptist Fellowship is a group of independent Baptist preachers throughout the Lake Michigan region of the Midwest. Men from Illinois, Indiana and Michigan in the communities in and around Lake Michigan coast have come together to enjoy biblical fellowship among their brethren. It is organized primarily for the exalting of Christ and the encouraging of preachers. To accomplish this goal the fellowship is built upon several key foundational principles; these being:
- To encourage and edify ordained and lay preachers as well as their wives.
- To esteem the autonomy of local churches above stylistic preferences and avoid interference between ministries through word or deed.
- To expand friendships and deepen relationships between preachers.
- To exhort preachers through preaching designed to help preachers.
- To establish fellowship based on a fundamental doctrinal statement and not preference, personalities or places.
- To engage in various activities beyond preaching to cultivate an enjoyable outlet for recreation among preachers and their wives.
